- May 7, 2020 - Dr Leslie Gruis wins the Paul du Quenoy Prize. Dr Gruis was today awarded the Paul du Quenoy Prize for her book detailing abuses of privacy rights by data and social media companies, and for insightfully inventing the term "Privacy Pirates" to describe them. The Paul du Quenoy Prize is an annual award recognizing individuals who have exposed absurd or unethical practices in academic institutions and media organizations. The previous recipient was the eminent British philosopher Sir Roger Scruton.
